GIFTS!!!!

Nevertheless, I like buy gifts, but always I always try buy it well in advance, just to don't feel me stressed and buy it more cheaper, as always the big stores raises the prices, due they know that all the people feel obliged to buy. I feel that buy the gifts is like as an act of gratitude and love to the other people, since it means think about something that they can like it, what they need. This act have a lot of dedication, so buy gifts only for people who really appreciate (well... my budget is not too much, so that these not reach to everyone). I don't like buy gifts for obligation, that's when you get stressed more and more you absorves by consumption. I hate too the ads of the big retailers because they sell you an idea about the christmass, that is a moment to share, and things like that only for sell you their cards just to consume.
Because I have many childrens in my family, I really enjoy see their faces full of happiness while open their gifts, as they are counting the days waiting for christmas and the emotion they have for preparationes. But I think too that oneself teach to the boys to be consumerist and be watching of many gifts they will receive, that these are toys and dot not value the meaning of that, or what it cost to buy a gift.

HOW GREEN I´m?

I think that not are many place where the people can learn about enviromentally friendly practices. May be for that in this country is not common practices the enviroment care. The goberment has been campaigns about the energy care, in response the energy emergency, but I think the best place for learn about enviromentally practices is in the school. Since we were kids it´s should we teach about the importance of envioremnt care, and how we can improve the envioroment.

In my case I have to recognize I don´t have incorported recycling into my habits, and no one practice to care the enviromental, even the smallest actions I´m neglected, allways I have the Tv turn on, and plug connected.
May be the only practice that I do to care the enviroment is use my legs or the public tranport instead of a car. I think should be a campaigns who incite the use the public tranport for the people can transported they works or school. That would serve to clean the pullution above all on winter.
I don´t know if I joined any eco-organisarions, because I think for one joined any organisations means so much commitment, and I preffer to compromise with other kind of organisations in this moment. But I supported a cause ecological, for example the moviment of "Patagonia sin represas", both the enviroment cause and for too the repulse of the economic interest that been behind of the construction the dams in this territory.

It´s a thing I allways would I like to do, is recycling the garbage in the condominium I live. With my parents we have the idea of painting the trash cans and throw the trash according they origins. But never we take the time for realize the idea, and incite the neighbor who also recycle.

Like I say we city (Santiago)missing regarding this issue, improve the pullution through campaigns to incite the people use your legs or public transport, that help to reducing the respiratorys ills on winter.

So Far Away

Traveling is a unique pleasure. Leave the routine and liberate the mind. I love travel, visit new places and learn about its history. But travel is wonderful provided I don't have to camp. I hate discomfort. I need a bed to rest. I also love sunbathing at the beach while I sleep.
Well, talking about travels, my ideal climate is hot. I need the sun for be happy and enjoy the vacations. I remember a holiday in a very cold Pucon, it was horrible, it rained every day and the wind was very strong, because of this my family decided returns to Santiago early. After of return, we went to Reñaca, a very hot place.
This year, I will go to Pucon again (I hope the weather is good), with my family. We will visit the hot springs, the lake Caburga, Blanca beach, etc. Also, I will go to Perú, with my boyfriend and friends. Our destination is Machu Pichu, but still will visit another places, like Arica, in Chile, Arequipa, Cuzco, in Peru, and if possible we will go to Cochabamba, Bolivia. This trip is very special, because I like to visit American Latin completely. Then go to Machu Pichu is the beginning of a long dream that I had. As I said, my next place to know is Uruguay and Brazil, for this I would like begin the trip in Argentina for finalize it in Brazil.

Redefining Islam for the 21st century

In UK has been experiencing a surge of protests and demands for changing the situation of domination of the Muslims women. And the author of this article is agree with this situation, is mean, it´s must dismantling the status quo about of muslims.

The demands are discussing about the right of muslims women to have leadership positions and be full participants in all congregational activities. This Muslim activists, has been a fast growth and have been extended beyond the private sphere. But this has led to threats from extremists, for example the case of Kalsoom Bashir, who was threatened after the "The Guardian" published about her struggle for women's empowerment.

The striking about this movement is a level of organisation and your collaboration with diverse groups. Herewith as been publicated a new publication by Muslim Institute's about Critical Muslim, who would be a new step for organised critical thought relating to Islam and Muslims. The member of Muslim Institute's are conscious abot the problems who Muslims must face in the 21st-century. This problems are related with dissatisfaction with the lack of nuance and insight in traditional religious leaders' responses.

Other characters of the critical Muslim movement it is able to take control of your own destiny without allowing external forces to dictate the terms. A example for this is a Facebook event called Happy "Happy Christmas 4ALL", which was organized for muslims frustration of seeing they have prohibited the celebration of Christmas.

Books? I loved them

I´ve allways liked books. I remember I asked to my mom read me when I not yet learned to read.Now I have the pride of having my own library, with sociology books mainly. I think that I most loved of the books is your smell, especially the old books, those brown paper, I imagine these books kepp the smell of the years and people who readed.

I don´t remeber what was my first book I readed.But I remember the first book I enjoyed readed, really was two book: "La Porota" and "Mi abuelita Opalina". When I was 10 years allways I sought book in my house for read. The problem with that is I found books I did understended, and then I hated it, like "Paula" by Isabel Allende.

My favorite novel is "Crimen y Castigo" by Fiódor Dostoievski, I readed when I was in high school. The thing I most liked tahat books was its realism, and psychological frame. Also among my favorite novels is "100 años de soledad" and "La ciudad y los perros"

Now is sociologic topis is about the more I read. My favorite author is Karl Marx, Gramsci and Carlos Larraín. And although I don´t have many time for read novels, allways I try in my free time read something different to sociology. Now in my short time free I read "Sobre heroes y tumbas" by Sabato, although read slowly, I loved this books.

Music is....

I like music, but I don´t know if is something to difines me. Since I was very child I have my own musical taste, I mean I never liked the same music who liked my parents.
The fisrt groups who was muy favourite is Space Girls. I liked so much their styles, closes, and dances. Later, when I was 13 years old, I beganing to define my music style, and Nirvana becames my favorite band, and ultil today I like so much, overcoat when I´m angry.
Since that time I started listening to the music I like, I bagan to discover new bands, and other style that influenced Nirvana music. That I come to the music I like to day, is the indie music. Today my favourite bands is radiohead and sigur ros. When I listen to them i feel like I flying, and also helped me to concentrate, bacause I can´t study whit out music.
For many time I was my guilty pleasure was Calle 13, but now I recognize as one of my favourite groups. Before I don´t said liked because they music is was more regeaton music, and I hate that style. Now their music mixing many latinamerican music, and their have a good letters.
The person who most influenced in my music style is my boyfriend. He knows so much about music, and allways show me new bands and dics.

A Dream

Sinse I was very small I wanted to visit Europe. I´ve always heard to travel there is to know another world. Also you can visit places and buildings that you can´t imagine that there can exist, or you will never seeing in you country. Well I think we are lacks a lot experience and time to will be as of cradle western culture.

If I had to choose a country for to visit in all Europe I choose Germany. Not just because muy surname is from that country, and I will could to learn about my ancestors culture. Or I will could revive many of the mark to universal history, like visit the Berlin wall. I want to visit Germany specially because is where were born great philosophers and parent of social sciences. Not for nothing it says taht Germany is one of the most intelligent cultures. So I think I will could to learn so much.

If I will go there obviously I would like study at one of his universities, I would like to learn abaut philosophy and economics. But I don´t imagine living there forever. I will missing the people and customs of Latin America.

Its make me sad to write about this, because I thing is a dream. Is very, but very dificult one day I will to visit and study there, first I don´t know nothing of German, I will need a lot of money, and is a most impossible to give me a scholarship.
